I just graduated undergrad in May, and I just started grad school full time this semester. I’m in a grad program for mathematics, and I’m a teaching assistant.
These classes are WAY over my head - I’m failing my classes, and I know there’s no way I can pass them by the semester’s end.
I can’t just drop out. I’m a TA, and so I signed a working contract with the school (I’m actually loving the teaching part). I’m legally required to stay here, so I can’t drop out.
What happens if I apply for a job in the future? I know I have to provide a transcript for my undergrad (that’s not a problem for me, I got good grades in undergrad). Do I have to tell a future employer I did a semester of grad school (and failed every class)? Or can you avoid mentioning it, without anyone ever finding out? Can’t they find out by searching your social security number? Is there ANY chance ANY somewhat decent employer would hire me?
