I am currently president of a the social work club at my University. I will graduate in December with my bachelors degree in psychology and then plan on going to graduate school for social work after taking a couple of years off. I have a 3.6 gpa. This is my last semester of college and I have a full course load. I also just started a new job that is 30 hours per week. I don’t think that I’ll be able to juggles full time school, work and presiding over the social work club. I still want to be a part of the club but I don’t have the time to be president. Will it look bad for me to resign? Will 1 year as president be enough?
I have class MWF and work T, Th, S and I don’t want my school work or gpa to suffer– I think that is the most important thing. What should I do? Stick it out or focus on school? How important are extracurriculars in regards to grad school admissions?
