Frustrated asked:

What are tips for an undergrad who is planning on going to grad school for biochem? And what if I don’t get accepted into one of the top schools, will that put me at a lesser advantage when I start working? I’m planning on going to grad school for Biochem, little worried though bc my gpa is messed up. I was wondering what the GPAs are of incoming grad students nowadays, GRE test scores, and if anything else is really important–like a lab job? I have a lab job, but i’m not learning about the biochem aspects of it, so i don’t know if my job even gives me a boost on the application. Please help me.
