Mike asked:

I got into Grad School for a chemistry PHD program in an ok program, but my girlfriend did not get into the same school. She’s gonna be 4-5 hours away in grad school herself. This is the one. Do I go to grad school and try and make things work, or do I continue working with a b.s. in chemistry in CT and continue working towards a MS at a local crappy university? What are the odds that a long distance dual grad school relationship will work?

Stay in your current program. You might regret it if you change your life for her. I know this is cliche but if it’s going to last it will. Besides 4 hrs away isn’t that bad. Both of you could visit each other on the weekends.
