aright so me and around 5-12 friends wanna play amtgard so we figured we can just play in front of my friends when theres a little bit of people but when it starts to get big wed like to go to a school field or something but in my town all the school fields have signs saying you need a permit. and at the playgrounds with big fields or the parks i dont know if the police would have a problem with us doing that there.
(amt gard is a live action roleplaying game where you get styrofoam covered sticks and hit each other. you can also use bows and closedcell foam arrows . and javelins so i dont know if cops wil come and slap us around with that book of theres. or if theyll just take away our weapons . were all like 15-18 somabye the cop will be like oh thats to crazy ima be a jerk . i cant see any reason for us to not be able too. but i can still see a cop rambling on about section codes we violated. so please help i live in watsonville CA i just wanna know where we can play.
also is playing in the street illegal in CA if you live in a residential area. because we dont know if cops will stop us or wed just do that.
and does anyone know if wearing armor is against the law like if we played at the park in chainmail or heavy leather or hard leather.
